Born on the south side of Chicago in 2018, The Dead Bolts cut their teeth as under aged college kids playing rowdy marathon sets in local Irish pubs before quickly building a reputation for their raw, high-energy performances.
In 2021, they released their debut album Pretty and Burnt Out, celebrating with a sold-out show at Schubas Tavern before hitting the road on what would become two years of sporadic DIY U.S. touring — first crammed into an SUV with a UHaul Trailer attached, and later their trusty tour van, “Vancis.”
Now, the band has leveled up with their second full length album Beau Monde, released this past January — followed by a string of packed shows across the U.S. This album was a bold new sound shaped in the studio with producer, Doug Malone of Jamdek Records in Chicago. Every track was written to stand alone as a single, pushing their Alt Rock/Post Punk identity into a modern space while staying true to their gritty Chicago roots.
